Garlic
Garlic owes much of its anti-inflammatory power to allicin, a sulphur compound released when a clove is crushed or chopped. Allicin helps dial down inflammatory markers in the blood and supports healthy circulation, making garlic a small but mighty daily addition.
How to use it:
Crush or chop a clove and let it sit for 10 minutes before cooking — this gives allicin time to form before heat breaks it down. Stir into dals, stir-fries, or dressings. Or steam it, roast it or simply add in the soups, and you do not need more than 1-2 garlic cloves a day for its maximum benefits.
