L-Carnitine
Carnitine is derived from the amino acid Lysine and requires several vitamins (B3, B6, C) and iron for its synthesis.
It is involved in regulating energy and cell metabolism. It helps convert fat into energy by transporting fatty acids into the mitochondria (the ‘powerhouse’ of the cell) where they are used for energy production. It is essential for skeletal and cardiac muscle, keeping us moving well and feeling healthy.
Studies report that l-Carnitine can positively impact muscle recovery after exercise. For people with an active and sporty lifestyle it is a key supplement to complement a balanced and healthy diet.
L-carnitine is found mainly in red meat.
100 grams of red meat contains approximately 80 mg L-Carnitine.

- Transports fats into the mitochondria for energy production.
