Echium Seed Oil

Echium plantagineum seed oil is pressed from the plant commonly known as Purple Viper’s-Bugloss, native to western and southern Europe, northern Africa and southwestern Asia. Echium oil is a super-rich source of omega-3, 6 and 9 fatty acids including Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA), Gamma-Linolenic Acid (GLA) and Stearidonic Acid (SDA) which help skin cells to regenerate. As the skin ages, it can lose fatty-acids naturally present in the skin which can lead to dull skin, uneven tone, age spots and wrinkles. Echium seed oil can penetrate the top layers of the epidermis to improve moisture levels and repair the skin barrier.

Echium oil also has a high concentration of antioxidants, which protect the skin against environmental aggressors and slow signs of ageing.
