When you see the word watermelon, does your mouth instantly start to water? I don’t blame you. Watermelons are juicy and look and taste great. They have a hard, green exterior that is sometimes striped, with pink flesh that is scattered with black seeds. As watermelons are at their best from mid-June to late August, this makes them a great summertime treat that is packed with antioxidants.  Watermelons have such a high amount of water in them, it cools your body down and can be popular amongst people from tropical regions as it helps to prevents heat stroke.
